## About the role

Absurd is hiring a Video Editor to cut the work that comes out of our studio: narrative films and commercials for clients, and our own original projects. The edit is where these films succeed or fail, and you'd own that room. Over time you'd likely learn to generate material yourself. When a cut needs a shot that doesn't exist, the fastest editor here is the one who can go and make it.

## What they're looking for

- Story instincts: rhythm, performance, structure, and the judgment to cut
- Fluency in the professional tools: DaVinci Resolve, Premiere, and Media Composer
- A real grasp of sound design, mixing and color, and a working knowledge of VFX
- Curiosity about AI generation, and the willingness to learn it as part of the job
