## About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work on the storage and virtualization team, reporting to the Director of Platform Engineering. You will be challenged to think out of the box and solve complex systems configuration. Additionally you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing Actifio's object storage file system, as well as designing and implementing new projects within the fields of data storage, virtualization and replication.

## What they're looking for

- Implementation of file systems, volume management, storage virtualization, and replication
- Strong knowledge of data protection principals, snapshot, backup/restore, and cloud based protection
- Familiar with Windows file systems, APIs, and protection of OS and applications
- Exposure to virtualization platforms, such as Hyper-V or VMWare ESX
- Strong Object Oriented design/implementation skills, with object-oriented language, such as Java, C++, or C#
- Proficient in performance optimization, code reliability, and problem solving skills
