## About the role

The Advisor Experience team is a new engineering team within Addepar’s Core Product Engineering organization, focused on building the products and experiences that define how financial advisors and their clients interact on the Addepar platform. Initially this role will focus on our new Secure Message Center — a compliant messaging experience built into Addepar’s client portal — but the scope extends well beyond messaging.

## What they're looking for

- You have 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a people management or team leadership role
- You have a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- You have a strong full-stack technical background — you're comfortable reviewing architecture across the stack, from Java or similar backend systems to modern frontend frameworks like React, Ember, or Svelte
- You're an effective technical leader who doesn't need to write every line of code but stays close enough to the work to guide design decisions, unblock engineers, and maintain high standards in code review
- You have experience building and growing engineering teams — whether that's hiring your first reports, structuring interview loops, or scaling a team through a period of growth
- You're a clear, direct communicator who can translate between technical details and business outcomes for stakeholders across product, design, and leadership
