## About the role

We are looking for a Platform Engineer for the Container Services team in Chicago. This team owns and operates Adyen's core container orchestration infrastructure, the foundation that keeps our global payment platform running. In this role, you will design, build, and operate critical infrastructure systems, drive automation and reliability improvements, and help scale Adyen's platform as we continue to grow globally.

## What they're looking for

- Hands-on platform engineering experience: You have 7+ years of experience with platform, infrastructure, or software engineering
- Linux proficiency: Advanced skills in system administration, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls), and security fundamentals. Comfortable troubleshooting complex issues across the stack
- On-prem / bare-metal experience: Comfortable operating on-prem infrastructure (i.e. outside of public cloud), bare-metal provisioning, hardware lifecycle, storage, and datacenter operations
- Strong scripting and programming skills: Intermediate-to-advanced Bash proficiency and intermediate-to-advanced skills in Python or Go. Ability to build production-quality tooling and automation
