## About the role

Affirm is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Acquisition & Onboarding team within the Consumer org. This is a high-impact leadership role for an engineer who can set technical direction, drive architectural decisions, and elevate the quality and velocity of full stack development across mobile, web, and backend systems. The team plays a critical role in shaping the first experience customers have with Affirm—building trust, clarity, and value from the very first interaction.

## What they're looking for

- You will be responsible for owning and delivering quarterly goals for your team, leading engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems, and ensuring that everyone is supported throughout delivery
- Take ownership of your team’s operations and availability by ensuring you have the right monitoring, triage rotations, playbooks, policies, testing and alerting in place to support “keep the lights on” & on-call efforts
- Proactively identify project, process, technology, or business issues, advocate for them, and lead in solving them
- Support the operations and availability of your team’s artifacts by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating when needed, and supporting “keep the lights on” and on-call efforts
- Foster a culture of quality and ownership by setting or improving code review and design standards for your team, and advocating for them beyond your team through writing and tech talks
- Help develop talent on your team by providing feedback and guidance, and leading by example
