## About the role

As Airbyte's Accounting Manager, you’ll own the day-to-day of our accounting operations and reporting - and you’ll help us rebuild how that work gets done, replacing manual processes and outsourced accounting firm dependencies with clean, automated, in-house workflows.

## What they're looking for

- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Ideally a Big 4 audit and startup combined background
- Working knowledge of US GAAP, including revenue recognition (ASC 606) and lease accounting (ASC 842)
- Strong systems instincts - you’ve evaluated, implemented, or redesigned accounting workflows and tools, and you reach for automation before manual effort
- Tech-savvy and genuinely AI-curious - you’ve explored (or are eager to explore) how automation and AI can transform accounting, and you like building
- An operational, ownership mindset - pragmatic, solution-oriented, and able to work autonomously. Startups move fast, so the ability to adapt and learn quickly is key
