## About the role

The Instructional Coach, Literacy, will support educators on-site up to four days per week, with the fifth day dedicated to planning and preparing to meet educators’ needs. The Instructional Coach may also support the Amplify Professional Development team on department-wide initiatives during periods when Anne Arundel County schools are closed but Amplify remains open(e.g., teacher workdays, holidays, winter and summer breaks, school cancellations, etc.).

## What they're looking for

- Passion for literacy and deep knowledge of the science of reading and writing
- Experience leading sustained instructional coaching engagements and professional development for educators in grades K–5 or 6–8
- 5+ years of K-5 or 6-8 Literacy teaching experience, leading to demonstrable results for students
- Experience working on collaborative projects with leaders and teachers
- Experience in guiding teams of educators through change management processes
- Experience analyzing data and using it to inform practice
