## About the role

We're looking for a Mission Software Engineer to join the Imaging Interfaces team. This is not a pure product development role. You will spend meaningful time keeping fielded systems alive, triaging issues across the full stack, and serving as a technical representative for our products in integrations with external teams and customers. Found on 1752vc Careers, the job board for startup and VC roles.

## What they're looking for

- 5+ years of experience in software development with meaningful production responsibility—not just shipping features, but owning systems after they ship
- Strong Python and C++ skills. You don't need to be a language expert in both, but you need to be able to work effectively in either
- 5+ years working in Linux-based environments, including bare-metal hardware
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve issues across system boundaries (networking, services, hardware interaction) without always having full visibility into every component
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical problems clearly to non-technical audiences
- Willingness to travel approximately 15% of the time for field testing and customer integrations
