## About the role

AngelList is hiring a Legal Counsel to own ordinary-course corporate work and help resolve the legal questions that arise across our Funds business. You’ll handle commercial contract reviews, board consents, and equity grants while joining the legal team’s reactive rotation - spanning investor consents, side letters, portfolio-company issues, secondary transactions, and regulatory questions.

## What they're looking for

- Corporate transactional capability. You can take ownership of commercial contract reviews and ordinary-course corporate matters
- An AI-forward approach to legal work. You are comfortable using AI tools, checking their output, and distinguishing work that can be automated from decisions that require a lawyer
- Comfort with ambiguity and reactive work. You can take ownership when the facts are incomplete, the issue is time-sensitive, or there is no existing playbook, and you know when to make a judgment call versus escalate
- A practical, cross-functional approach. You can collaborate with internal teams to develop solutions that appropriately balance legal risk and business realities
- An appetite for hands-on execution. You want to handle recurring corporate work and a steady flow of time-sensitive legal matters—not only novel transactions or strategic initiatives
