## About the role

We're hiring a policy generalist to join the Strategic Advisory team within Anthropic's Public Policy team. You'll develop and maintain our policy research strategy and lead the research behind it, to strengthen Anthropic's policy influence in Washington and around the world.

## What they're looking for

- A track record of driving cross-functional projects to a decision or finished product, including getting people with competing interests to agreement when you don't manage them
- Experience as a policy generalist across several issue areas, including designing and carrying out policy research and turning it into policy proposals or positions
- Excellent writing: you can turn complex technical or economic material into clear, concise memos, briefings and talking points for different audiences
- An understanding of how a company's commercial interests and its policy positions fit together
- Strong organization and project management, including running several projects and outside partners at once
- A record of working independently, taking ownership of problems, and driving next steps and deliverables without being prompted
