## About the role

The EOS Platform Independent (PI) Layer 2 and network services team is responsible for building innovative and scalable solutions in the areas of Layer 2 protocols including 802.1X, LACP, MACsec, Multi-chassis LAG (MLAG), STP, and network management and security services such as AAA (TACACS/RADIUS), DHCP, DNS, IP Locking, Logging, SNMP, SSH/OpenSSL, ZTP etc.

## What they're looking for

- Expert knowledge of C or C++ and Python
- Software development experience with Linux
- Knowledge of layer 2 protocols like 802.1X, MACsec, LACP, STP, etc -or-
- Knowledge of network management and monitoring protocols like AAA, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, SFlow, IPFIX, OpenConfig, etc
- Understanding and ability to apply software engineering principles
- Strong problem solving and software troubleshooting skills
