## About the role

As a Healthcare Advocate at Baba, you will play a vital part in enhancing the healthcare experience for our clients. Using your care advocacy skills and experience, you’ll offer guidance and support to patients and their families—helping them access care, clarify provider instructions, connect with community resources, and reduce barriers to a healthier, more independent life. This is a remote, 1099 (contractor) role. You may choose part-time or full-time engagement.

## What they're looking for

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Social Work, Public Health, Health Administration, or a related healthcare field OR Certificate/Diploma in Practical Nursing (LVN/LPN)
- Active RN, LSW/LMSW/LCSW, CCM/ACM, CHW, LPN/LVN, or other relevant clinical or care management credential preferred
- 2+ years of experience in care navigation, patient advocacy, care management, case management, home health, discharge planning, utilization management, or clinical social work, preferably supporting older adults or Medicare populations
- Solid knowledge of Medicare rules, eligibility, benefit structures, claims, and appeals
- Deep understanding of Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) and experience working with diverse and underserved populations
- Empathy, patience, and strong communication skills— you can explain complex things simply
