## About the role

Be a founding member of the Infrastructure & Security team, responsible for the platform reliability, security posture, and compliance readiness that enables Basic Capital to scale with confidence Own Basic Capital's ongoing SOC 2 Type II compliance, implementing security controls, documenting processes, and working with auditors to achieve and maintain certification

## What they're looking for

- Strong experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS (EC2, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM)
- Proven track record implementing security best practices and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
- Proficiency with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS)
- Strong understanding of networking, security principles, and encryption
- Experience with observability platforms and building monitoring/alerting systems (Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch)
