We are seeking a highly strategic and experienced New Product and Regulatory Counsel to serve as the lead legal partner for our product, engineering, and technology teams. In this senior role, you will guide the development and launch of innovative technology products while navigating complex, rapidly evolving regulatory landscapes.As technology advances, so do our legal needs.

## What they're looking for

- Provide forward-looking legal advice on all technology-related matters, including software development, cloud computing, artificial intelligence (GenAI/LLMs), and machine learning initiatives
- Embed with product and engineering teams to review new features and products from ideation to launch, ensuring privacy-by-design and AI-safety-by-design principles are met
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous updating of company policies related to acceptable AI use, AI governance, data privacy, open-source licensing, and intellectual property
- Identify potential legal and ethical risks related to technology projects particularly those involving automated decision-making or AI-generated content and develop actionable strategies to mitigate them
- Draft, review, and negotiate high-stakes technology agreements, including SaaS, PaaS, strategic partnerships, and complex technology vendor contracts
- Scrutinize agreements with AI model providers and platforms, focusing on critical issues such as data usage rights (model training), IP indemnification, output ownership, and confidentiality
