## About the role

Bedrock is bringing autonomy to the construction industry! We're a group of veterans from the autonomous vehicle industry who are passionate about bringing the benefits of automation to areas in the construction industry currently underserved by the market. We're growing our sizable fleet of retrofitted autonomous construction machines and we're looking for a motivated hardware engineering intern to support system testing and integration.

## What they're looking for

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
- Solid foundational knowledge in HW engineering subjects such as mechanical, electrical, and embedded SW
- Embedded compute platforms, including single-board computers or edge compute modules
- Common autonomous sensing technologies such as lidar, camera, radar, GNSS, or IMUs
- Packaging and integration of HW systems, including basic mechanical or thermal considerations
- Basic signaling and communication protocols such as CAN, UART, SPI, or Ethernet
