## About the role

We are seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to support the continued development of the Stride Shuttle Sorter. Stride is an established product, and this role will focus on improving its reliability, strengthening its technical foundation, and adapting the platform for new applications and markets.

## What they're looking for

- Develop a strong system-level understanding of the Stride product, including the mechanical system and its interactions with controls, electrical hardware, manufacturing, installation, and service
- Own complex mechanical projects or major areas of the product from problem definition through design, analysis, prototyping, validation, documentation, release, and production support
- Lead investigations into reliability and performance issues using structured root-cause analysis, testing, field data, and sound engineering judgment
- Identify recurring problems and develop robust solutions that address underlying causes rather than individual symptoms
- Evaluate how proposed changes affect the broader product, including reliability, safety, cost, manufacturability, installation, serviceability, and compatibility with existing systems
- Support the adaptation of the Stride platform for new customers, applications, environments, and market segments while managing product complexity
