## About the role

We're hiring a Senior Associate to join Bessemer's growth investing team based in San Francisco. You will be focused on AI apps, infrastructure, defense, techbio, energy, and various other roadmaps. You'll work directly with Byron Deeter and collaborate with partners and investors across the firm to find and back the companies building the foundational layers of the next era of software.

## What they're looking for

- 3–6+ years of experience, ideally in investment banking, consulting, private equity, growth equity, high-growth startups, or traditional venture capital. Prior venture experience is a plus but not required
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and company analysis skills. You can go from a messy data room to a defensible view
- Genuine interest in software and AI: you use the latest products and have opinions on where things are headed
- Natural relationship builder, great at connecting with founders, executives, and co-investors
- Naturally hardworking, humble, independent thinking, being a fast learner and a proactive doer
- In it to win it : this role requires regular travel, late nights, and intense sprints — founder dinners, conferences, and trips are a normal part of the job
