## About the role

This role will require being full-time onsite at our Palo Alto office to support collaborative team dynamics and innovative problem-solving.

## What they're looking for

- Real, working knowledge of accounting fundamentals: double-entry bookkeeping, chart-of-accounts design, financial statements (P&L, balance sheet), and what reconciliation and audit actually require in practice
- 5+ years of backend software engineering experience, with a track record of owning data-model design for systems where correctness is the product, not just uptime
- Strong instincts for extensible system design — schemas and APIs that can grow with new requirements instead of requiring repeated rework
- Comfort reading and critiquing technical designs across multiple systems, not just writing your own
- Strong cross-functional communication — you'll work directly with Finance, Data Engineering, and Product on shared designs
