## About the role

At Boom Supersonic, we're building Superpower — a 42-megawatt industrial gas turbine designed to deliver high-efficiency power generation at scale. Our first prototype is being assembled right now, we're standing up the production facility in parallel, and we're hiring the supervisor who will build the team that runs it — so that when the prototype proves out, we're ready to build the first production units without losing a day. We're looking for a Machine Shop Supervisor who can grow that team.

## What they're looking for

- Experience in CNC machining with at least 2 years in an explicitly supervisory role in a precision manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated experience building a team or being a first supervisor into a new operation — not just inheriting one
- Background in aerospace, defense, or industrial manufacturing where safety and quality are non-negotiable
- Hiring experience — has screened, evaluated, and recommended candidates with documented outcomes
- Communication discipline — runs tight shift handoffs, escalates with context, closes the loop
