## About the role

Every merchant Breeze takes on creates an opportunity to grow and real financial exposure to manage. We’re hiring a Financial Underwriting Lead to own the decisions behind that growth: which merchants we support, on what terms, and how we protect Breeze from chargebacks, refunds, fraud, and merchant failure.

## What they're looking for

- 2–3 years of experience in corporate debt analysis and underwriting — venture debt, growth lending, revenue-based finance, private credit, commercial banking, or a startup lending book
- That experience should include underwriting startups and privately held companies.You should be comfortable forming a view from incomplete, unaudited, fast-moving financials if needed
- Demonstrated ownership of a credit decision: you have written the memo, taken a position, and defended it to a committee or a decision-maker
- Fluency with financial statements, cash flow analysis, runway, burn and unit economics
- Advanced Excel (comfort building models and working with large transaction-level datasets) and some degree of experience in AI enablement of finance and analysis workflows
