## About the role

Reporting to the General Counsel, you will lead Brex's Regulatory Affairs function and guide the company's relationships and interactions with its federal and state regulators, including the OCC, the Federal Reserve, FINRA, and state licensing agencies. You will ensure Brex proactively responds to a changing regulatory environment and delivers on its commitments to regulators accurately and on time.

## What they're looking for

- Juris Doctor (JD) and active bar membership in good standing of the bar of at least one U.S. state
- 8+ years of experience in banking, financial services, risk management, audit, consulting, or regulatory agencies, or a combination
- 5+ years of experience working directly with banking regulators (e.g., OCC, Federal Reserve, FDIC, state agencies) and regulatory policy, including exam management and supervisory engagement
- Working knowledge of commercial financial products (cards, payments, deposits, lending) and the associated regulatory frameworks and risk management practices
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build consensus across a broad range of stakeholders
- Ability to lead with empathy when working with internal stakeholders and government agencies
