## About the role

At ButterflyMX, reliable hardware is essential to delivering a dependable access control experience for our customers. We are seeking a hands-on Hardware Engineering Technician to support the Hardware Engineering and Hardware Operations teams across product assembly, testing, troubleshooting, repair, failure analysis, quality validation, supplier quality documentation, and engineering test execution.

## What they're looking for

- Hands-on electronics technician experience in engineering, manufacturing, test, repair, quality, or lab environments
- Ability to read schematics, drawings, work instructions, test procedures, and basic mechanical documentation
- Working knowledge of PCBs, components, cables, connectors, power systems, sensors, controllers, and embedded hardware
- Proficiency with standard lab tools, soldering, wiring, rework, inspection, assembly, and repair
- Ability to troubleshoot board, cable, connector, assembly, configuration, and system-level issues
- Strong documentation discipline for test records, repair notes, inspection findings, photos, logs, and issue summaries
