## About the role

As a Robot Systems Software Engineer at Carbon Robotics you will work alongside your software, mechanical and electrical peers to build AI and robotics products. In particular, you will be involved in the design and implementations of robot side features and algorithms. You’ll do whatever it takes - which might include going to the farm - to ensure our customers have reliable and safe products .

## What they're looking for

- Experience as a System Software Engineer building on machine and in the cloud software with 5+ years of programming in C++ and Python
- Proficiency with modern Linux development environments (e.g. bash, git, docker, etc.)
- Proficiency with web services (REST/GRPC)
- Experience with robotic and computer vision algorithms is beneficial
- General knowledge of observability tools (ex: Prometheus ecosystem) is a plus
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and a desire to work in multidisciplinary teams
