## About the role

The reliability, scalability, and usability of Carrot's data systems directly power decision-making across the organization and for our clients. Data Engineering plays a foundational role in enabling the broader Business Intelligence function, and this role serves as the senior-most manager directly responsible for that capability.

## What they're looking for

- Direct experience with Carrot's current tech stack : Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt, Prefect, and AWS
- Experience with enterprise BI platforms and enabling self-service analytics
- Experience integrating batch and event-streaming or real-time ingestion systems
- Prior experience leading data engineering teams in a startup or high-growth environment , ideally including managing other leads or senior-level ICs
- Healthcare industry experience , including familiarity with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR) and privacy regulations (HIPAA, GDPR)
