## About the role

You'll join our Developer Experience (DevEx) team, a lean "Special Ops" unit within Carta's Infrastructure organization. Our North Star: remove friction from every step of the software delivery lifecycle so Carta's engineers can do the best work of their careers.

## What they're looking for

- Experience: 8+ years in platform, backend, or fullstack engineering
- AI Builder: You've shipped production LLM systems, whether that's MCP servers or clients, AI extensions, connectors, or agents designed to solve real problems, not just demos
- Platform Mindset: You build things other engineers build on top of and think about APIs and developer ergonomics as seriously as performance
- Tech Stack: Python or Java, CI/CD tooling (CircleCI, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins, Docker), cloud-native (AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes), familiarity with secrets management tooling (Vault, Cloudsmith) is a plus
- Security Aware : You think about least-privilege, token lifecycle, and supply chain risks when designing developer tooling, not just after an incident
- Execution: You break down ambiguous problems and deliver with minimal guidance, bringing data to debates and owning outcomes end-to-end
