## About the role

You'll set direction for a pod of engineers, stay close enough to the code to have real opinions about it, and be accountable for what ships and for the growth of the people who ship it.

## What they're looking for

- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- At least 5 years of professional experience in software development shipping production code
- At least 1 year of direct people management or formal tech lead experience, with a track record of growing engineers
- Fluency in one or more backend languages such as Python, Node.js, Java, or C/C++. Next.js and/or React experience is a plus
- Experience building, testing, and deploying microservices
- Distributed systems development experience. Performance optimization is a plus
