## What they're looking for

- JD degree and active membership in good standing of a state Bar
- 5–8 years of corporate and securities law experience, a mix of top law firm and in-house experience is a plus
- Hands-on M&A transactional experience, with exposure to IPO readiness or public-company matters a strong plus
- Solid working knowledge of corporate, securities, and transactional matters, with the judgment to spot and triage key issues and know when to escalate or engage outside counsel
- A pragmatic problem-solver who provides crisp, timely, risk-based advice and communicates it clearly to non-lawyers
- Strong collaborator with excellent written and verbal communication skills who builds trust across teams and represents Checkr well with external parties
