## About the role

The Verifications team is responsible for one of Checkr's most expansive product portfolios, an ever growing suite of screening products empowering informed decisions across our enterprise customers. Employment and education verifications, drug and occupational health screenings, reference checks, and right-to-work – are several of the products this team improves to drive growth and customer retention.

## What they're looking for

- 4+ years as an engineering manager, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams
- 8+ years as a software engineer, with strong command of service architecture, distributed systems, and system design
- Experience managing complex third-party integration environments — you’re comfortable owning reliability across systems you don’t fully control, and know how to structure teams and processes around that reality
- A track record of improving operational metrics — reducing incident frequency, improving detection time, or shipping reliability improvements in high-stakes production environments
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development and agentic coding tools — you understand how to help your team adopt these responsibly and can reason about the tradeoffs between velocity and quality they introduce
- Experience working on regulated products where data accuracy and legal compliance are non-negotiable
