## About the role

People and culture are critical to what we’re building at Codes Health, making this one of the most important hires we’ll make. As our first People hire, you’ll build the function from 0 → 1 and help us scale a small, high-performing team without losing the urgency, high standards, and culture that got us here. You’ll stay ahead of the challenges that come with rapid growth, ensuring we remain compliant while creating an environment where employees feel seen, heard, and supported.

## What they're looking for

- 5–8 years of HR, People Ops, or talent experience, with strong HR fundamentals and a track record of building or scaling People functions in high-growth environments
- Energized by building from scratch, with a strong instinct for creating infrastructure and processes that help teams move faster
- High standards, strong judgment, and the ability to build trust quickly, navigate hard conversations, and solve problems directly
- Strong program management skills and experience with modern HR systems such as Rippling, Ashby, Lattice, or similar tools
