## About the role

We’re looking for a Backend System Architect to help build the systems that power Coframe’s platform. This role is based in our San Francisco office, where our team works together five days per week. You’ll work across our backend infrastructure, data systems, APIs, and AI-powered workflows. This is a high-ownership role for someone who enjoys solving ambiguous technical problems, designing systems from the ground up, and shipping reliable production software quickly.

## What they're looking for

- 3+ years of experience building and operating backend systems in production
- Comfort working in a fast-moving environment with evolving requirements and limited structure
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience designing distributed or data-intensive systems
- Proficiency in Python or another modern backend language
- Experience building APIs, services, databases, and asynchronous workflows
- A track record of owning meaningful technical projects from conception through production
