## About the role

The Financial Platform team owns the systems that move money at Credit Genie and the connections that make it possible: cash advances, repayments, refunds, bank account linking, debit card management, and the ledgering and reconciliation that keep every dollar accounted for. When these systems are wrong, customers lose money and trust; when they are right, nobody notices. That is the bar.

## What they're looking for

- 8+ years of experience designing, building, and scaling high-performance backend systems in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Direct experience building and operating financial platform systems at scale: payments, money movement, lending, ledgering, billing, or banking infrastructure handling high volumes of real customer funds
- Deep fluency in the correctness patterns financial software demands: idempotency, distributed transactions, double-entry accounting, reconciliation, retry safety, and auditability
- A track record of setting technical direction for a team: you have owned the architecture of a significant system, driven the roadmap to evolve it, and brought other engineers along through design reviews and mentorship
- High ownership as a default. You treat the systems you build as yours end-to-end, from design through incident response, and you raise problems and fix them without waiting to be asked
- Expertise in architecting and productionizing large-scale distributed systems
