## About the role

Join D-Wave as we launch our state-of-the-art facility in Boca Raton, Florida, opening in 2027. We are seeking a Research Technician to be among the first members of our LabOps team, helping establish laboratory operations and support the testing of D-Wave’s next generation of quantum computing technology.

## What they're looking for

- Support dilution refrigerator cooldowns and warmups, including system preparation, payload installation and removal, line purges, valve operations, thermometry checks, and cooldown monitoring
- Assist with resistance measurements, microwave systems trace collection, and basic quality checks
- Accurately record cooldown data, payload information, system configurations, and state changes in LabOpsHub
- Perform first-pass troubleshooting and assist with routine maintenance in coordination with the Team Lead and Lab Infrastructure management
- Coordinate with Sample Prep & Packaging, Controls & LabOps Tools, and other partner teams to support payload readiness, data capture, and laboratory throughput
- Help establish Florida lab operations by documenting workflows, improving procedures, and applying the practices learned during the Canadian assignment
