D-Wave is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Systems Software Engineering team. In this role, you will design and build core platform infrastructure, backend services, and user-facing features that enable seamless access and reliable operation of our simulators and gate-model quantum computers. You will have the opportunity to help shape our products, contributing to highly visible, impactful projects that advance the future of quantum computing.

- Collaborate with product managers, scientists, and applications engineers to translate functional requirements into technical specifications and production solutions
- Lead the architecture and implementation of reliable, maintainable systems spanning simulators, quantum processor services, and supporting platform infrastructure
- Design and build the tooling and core software used to develop, operate, and monitor our quantum processors
- Write clean, well-documented code, and participate in design and code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability
- Troubleshoot issues, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize performance and improve the user experience
