## About the role

As Finance Analyst, you’ll sit at the center of Daybreak’s finance function, with equal footing in accounting and financial planning. On the accounting side, you’ll own the month-end close process and make sure the numbers leadership, our board, and our investors rely on are accurate, timely, and well supported. On the planning side, you’ll build and maintain the financial models that help us forecast, budget, and decide where to invest. ## What they're looking for

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a degree in finance or a related field with substantial accounting coursework. Candidates without an accounting degree should have significant hands-on accounting experience
- 2–4 years of accounting or finance experience, including hands-on responsibility for month-end close activities and exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or financial planning
- Demonstrated financial modeling experience: you’ve built or significantly maintained models such as an operating model, budget, forecast, or driver-based revenue model, and can explain how they work
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and accrual accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analysis
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including lookups, conditional aggregation, and well-structured, auditable models
- Hands-on experience with a modern GL/accounting system (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
