## About the role

Aiven is hiring a Senior PMM to own our AI go-to-market. You'll set the narrative for why enterprises building AI workloads should standardize on managed, open source data tools, and work closely with customers, Aiven partners, and the go-to-market organization to evangelize our story. This requires a deep understanding of the evolving AI and data infrastructure space and the key players within it. In this role you’ll work closely with Aiven execs and product, marketing, and engineering leadership

## What they're looking for

- 6+ years in B2B product marketing, ideally in cloud, data infrastructure, or open source
- You've built a narrative around AI before, not just helped with one, and you can explain the choices you made
- You understand how cloud and AI business models work and can articulate the challenges that companies face trying to build AI-ready systems
- Prior experience marketing a managed service or product built on an open source project (e.g., Kafka, PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, Clickhouse)
- Strong writer who can make technical ideas readable without dumbing them down or defaulting to AI
- That said, you should absolutely know how to use generative AI tools to become more efficient at your job
