## About the role

Epic Games is looking for an Engine Programmer Intern to join them for the 2027 season. Working on our Fortnite Online team, you'll be supporting a multitude of systems and features for our Engine and Fortnite. If it's an online game feature, we touch it. Epic engineers wear many hats. As an intern, you are provided with a meaningful experience with high expectations for performance. If you want to build something Epic, this is the opportunity for you!

## What they're looking for

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline required, with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills strongly desired
- Demonstrable proficiency in object-oriented programming and C++ required, with familiarity with Java considered a plus
- Demonstrable knowledge of networking, REST, and utilizing back-end services with resiliency in mind
- Demonstrated interest in online multiplayer games, and interest in games as a service also a plus
- Familiarity with Unreal Engine or UEFN is strongly desired
- Strong preference for demonstrating AI usage and leveraging LLMs for code and tooling development
