## About the role

New York City is central to Exa's growth strategy and home to many of our enterprise buyers. Teams in financial services, media, consulting, and beyond are making critical decisions about how their AI agents will retrieve information, and you will play a key role in how they discover Exa. As the first Field Marketer on the East Coast, you will own how these buyers experience our brand and interact with our team, through highly strategic, thoughtfully crafted events.

## What they're looking for

- 4+ years of experience in field marketing or event marketing at a B2B technology company, including ownership of a regional program rather than execution of someone else's
- Deeply committed to event craft: You can walk us through a run of show, tell us what you check at 4pm before a 6pm start, and describe the last thing that went wrong at an event and how you fixed it
- Demonstrated ability to drive pipeline: You have owned a pipeline number and can speak to cost per qualified lead
- Evidence of strong sales partnership: You can speak to how you've built strong partnerships with sales counterparts in similar roles, including how you manage reps who push for something you know isn't the right investment
- Knowledge of the New York market: You have a finger on the pulse of the best venues, vendors, and event tactics that will draw an audience of senior technical buyers here
- Meticulous event budget and timeline management: You have both budget and vendor negotiation experience
