## About the role

Creating a delightful customer experience from order creation to delivery is a key part of ezCater’s mission. As a Staff Engineer on our Finance Technology team, you will focus on building solutions that will transform ezCater’s finance technology platform as ezCater scales and builds new features that enables an agentic commerce future. This will include building a first-class, modern tech stack that pairs ezCater’s existing software solutions with AI-enabled tooling.

## What they're looking for

- 8+ years building backend services
- 4+ years with Go
- Led multi-quarter, multi-team initiatives as tech lead - owning architecture, sequencing work, and shipping - with proven influence without authority
- Deep experience with payment-processing and payout systems (card processing, invoicing, refunds, disbursements, tax) in high-volume products
- Hands-on integration with modern PSPs/gateways (Stripe, Adyen, Braintree, card networks) and a grasp of settlement, chargebacks, PCI, and SCA
- Built and scaled high-integrity systems where correctness, security, and reliability are non-negotiable (payments, ledgers, billing, or similar critical distributed systems)
