## About the role

Field AI is building the future of autonomy—from rugged field environments to real-world customer deployments. We’re looking for a Mapping Solution Engineer who can bring our 3D mapping solutions to life by owning deployment, integration, and ongoing performance in the field.

## What they're looking for

- Master’s degree or higher in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Geomatics, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 2+ years of experience in robotics software development, 3D mapping, systems integration, or field deployment of complex technical systems
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Python with experience writing production-quality software
- Experience with 3D geometry, point cloud processing, and algorithms such as ICP and NDT
- Familiarity with point cloud libraries and tools such as PCL or Open3D
- Experience working with LiDAR systems and 3D data formats including PCD, PLY, E57, or LAS
