## About the role

Fieldguide is looking for an Accounting Manager to help run and scale our accounting function as the company grows. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this person will be a hands-on owner of the monthly close and several core accounting areas, while helping us build more efficient, automated, and scalable processes.

## What they're looking for

- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including experience at a high-growth startup or SaaS company
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience managing a monthly close
- Experience with revenue recognition and other accounting issues common to subscription software businesses
- A track record of independently researching problems, developing a point of view, and driving issues to resolution
- Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to identify when a process, transaction, or result does not make sense
- Comfort operating in an environment where processes may still need to be created or improved
