## About the role

Reporting to the Director, Accounting & Financial Operations, you will be responsible for the complete and accurate recording of company transactions in accordance with Canadian GAAP (ASPE) standards. This role combines technical accounting, financial analysis, accounts payable management, process improvement, and month-end close responsibilities.

## What they're looking for

- Own the month-end close process end-to-end: journal entries (prepaids, fixed assets, accruals), balance sheet reconciliations, and balance sheet/P&L reviews
- Maintain the general ledger in NetSuite and the chart of accounts, including creation of new GL accounts, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
- Manage daily and monthly cash reporting and banking activities, including bank and credit card reconciliations, and prepare weekly vendor payment runs
- Manage the monthly partner remittance process
- Maintain a complete, accurate documentation trail for all financial transactions, and proactively partner with the business to ensure transactions are properly recorded
- Prepare monthly sales tax filings for Canada and US
