## About the role

You will develop autonomous, electric, and hybrid vessels in this role. You will integrate with propulsion and autonomy teams to retrofit existing vessels with Fleetzero's propulsion systems and work as part of a larger team to develop new built electric autonomous vessels.

## What they're looking for

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field
- Experience: At least 3 years in naval architecture, with hands-on experience producing ship design drawings
- Shipyard or construction experience is a plus
- Technical Expertise: Expert in hull design, hydrodynamics, stability, and propulsion systems, with a focus on optimizing efficiency and performance. Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino3D, or equivalent CAD tools
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of maritime regulations and submittal processes, with the ability to ensure designs meet certification standards
- Ability to travel and visit customer and vendor sites, including shipyards and vessels
