## About the role

As Senior Counsel at Forus, you will serve as a key legal partner to stakeholders across the business. You will report directly to the General Counsel and work on legal questions that contribute to the next phases of growth. You will own important commercial matters, contribute to product design, resolve operational challenges, and drive the legal strategy that helps the business move.

## What they're looking for

- 6+ years of legal experience in commercial contracts and business counseling, J.D., active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
- Experience independently handling complex commercial matters. Healthcare and ideally health-tech experience is strongly preferred, law-firm and in-house experience is ideal
- Meaningful experience with privacy and healthcare regulatory matters, including HIPAA/HITECH, data use and sharing, business associate agreements, and privacy requests or incidents
- Outstanding written and verbal communication that enables you to translate complex legal concepts into strategic and actionable guidance
- Track record of moving quickly, finding shortcuts, and going to unreasonable lengths to deliver on goals
- High NPS with your former teammates
