## About the role

We’re hiring a Lead Android Engineer to set the technical direction for Future’s Android products and build the experiences our members use every day. You’ll lead work across our phone and Wear OS apps. You’ll shape core journeys such as onboarding, coach messaging, scheduling, guided workouts, progress tracking, health-data integration, and video calls. You’ll work with product, design, backend, and iOS engineers on a small, senior team.

## What they're looking for

- You have 8+ years of professional Android engineering experience, including ownership of complex consumer applications
- You have deep Kotlin knowledge and a strong command of Jetpack Compose, coroutines, Flows, dependency injection, and Android lifecycle behavior
- You have led architecture work in a large or modular Android codebase
- You have shipped and supported applications through Google Play
- You understand performance, offline state, background execution, media playback, permissions, and device fragmentation
- You have strong testing habits across unit, integration, UI, and end-to-end layers
