## About the role

As Nuclear Safety Basis Lead at General Matter, you'll own the integrated safety basis for a first-of-its-kind enrichment facility — the complete set of analyses, controls, and commitments that establish how the facility is authorized to operate. You'll keep the Integrated Safety Analysis (ISA), management measures, and license conditions consistent and current as the facility designs, builds, and operates, and you'll ensure proposed changes are evaluated for their impact on the safety basis.

## What they're looking for

- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals
- Ability to perform trade studies and make clear recommendations using first principles and engineering fundamentals even with partial information
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of nuclear safety basis / authorization basis concepts and 10 CFR Part 70, 10 CFR 830, or comparable regulatory framework
- Experience with safety basis development, maintenance, or change evaluation
- Experience leading technical teams, projects, or programs
