## About the role

As the Mechanical Field Engineer , you will be the person who keeps mechanical construction moving when the field runs into a question the drawings can't answer. You'll write and resolve RFIs, chasing down design intent, code requirements, and existing conditions so the field never sits idle waiting on an answer. You'll own change orders end-to-end — spotting scope changes before they become disputes, documenting them, pricing them out with the team, and running them through to resolution and approval.

## What they're looking for

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience as a field engineer, project engineer, or similar role on mechanical construction projects
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems, including CRAH/CRAC, chillers, piping, and BMS/controls
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, mechanical specifications, and equipment schedules
- Experience writing and managing RFIs and change orders on a construction project
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to track multiple open items across a fast-moving job site
