## About the role

The XIL Platform team is the vital bridge between our software and the real-world environment. We are part of the Software Foundations & Architecture organization, and our core mission is to build the Middleware, Testing, Simulation, and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) infrastructure for Glydways. We don't just write test scripts; we build the overarching frameworks that allow those tests to run seamlessly across software, simulation, and physical hardware.

## What they're looking for

- Deep understanding of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), and simulation testing strategies, particularly for safety-critical systems
- Python and Bash for CI tooling, bench automation, and scripting is a plus
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD best practices and principles. Direct experience with Buildkite is a plus
- Hands-on ability to troubleshoot physical test benches, including reading electrical schematics and using lab tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and PCAN adapters
- Experience using infrastructure-as-code and environment management tools (specifically Nix, or similar tools like Docker/Ansible) to ensure reproducible test environments
