## About the role

An ideal fit would be a candidate with a computer science background, who perhaps plans to be a co-founder and wants to get a deeper understanding of early stage startups. Or you’ll be a more experienced engineer with some JavaScript experience, who is keen to join a growing engineering team and make a real difference. Either way you’ll be excited by the opportunity to join a fast-growing start-up, in a role where you’ll be able to take ownership of a core part of the platform.

## What they're looking for

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency in JVM-related language(s) with at least 3+ years of experience
- Experience with relational database, such as Postgres or MySQL, caching mechanisms, and async processing
- Experience building API, either via RESTful API or GraphQL
- Experience with distributed source code management tools such as Git, Mercurial, etc
- Does not mind working fairly independently, but are not afraid to ask for assistance
