## About the role

Greenlight is seeking a motivated Legal & Compliance Intern for the 2026–2027 school year to support our Legal and Compliance team. This role offers hands-on exposure to the regulatory and operational side of fintech, working closely with attorneys and compliance professionals to help ensure Greenlight operates in line with applicable laws and internal standards.

## What they're looking for

- Monitor and research emerging legal and regulatory developments in the fintech space, including consumer protection, payments, and financial services regulations, summarize findings for the legal/compliance team
- Organize, maintain, and archive company policies and procedures, ensuring documents are current, accessible, and properly version-controlled
- Compile and analyze data to create reports identifying trends across departments (e.g., customer complaints, operational risk, product changes) that may carry legal or compliance implications
- Test internal systems and workflows to verify compliance controls are functioning as intended, and document/report any issues or gaps
- Review marketing and advertising materials for legal and regulatory compliance prior to publication or distribution
- Partner with teams across the company (Product, Marketing, Customer Support, etc.) on compliance-related questions and initiatives
