## About the role

This is a remote, unpaid fellowship, designed as an educational opportunity for individuals with advanced healthcare expertise to gain hands-on experience in venture capital and investment analysis. You’ll source deals in healthcare sectors, conduct due diligence, participate in negotiations, and prepare investment recommendations, all while receiving mentorship and training in venture capital processes and healthcare innovation.

## What they're looking for

- A Ph.D., M.D. or PharmD degree in a life science-related field is required, exceptional candidates with strong relevant industry experience may also be considered
- Hands-on biotech/pharma industry experience strongly preferred, particularly experience in R&D, drug discovery, preclinical, or clinical development. Training will be provided to help transition into venture capital
- Experience in venture capital, management consulting, or business development is preferred but not required
- Strong domain knowledge in one or more of the following: cardiovascular, metabolic disease, autoimmune / inflammatory disease, oncology
- Familiarity with therapeutic modalities such as small molecules, biologics, antibodies, peptides, ADCs, and related platforms
- Ability to assess published data quality and reliability, with a keen interest in experimental details and primary research
